You’ll already know that your menu will be a main selling point for customers. It’s natural to feel like you need to have something for everything, so you could find yourself adding more and more to the menu. This is a terrible step to take. It’ll lead to you needing more stock on-hand, cooks needing to memorize countless recipes, and more.
This then leads to more confusion and mistakes, so your customers could end up having a worse experience. You’re better off having a smaller menu that has enough options, but that your restaurant can consistently deliver well.

One of the first decisions you’ll have to make before you open your restaurant is who you’ll have working for you. Make sure these are the best people possible for the roles you’re hiring for. For your cooks and chefs, for example, make sure they can consistently make food to a high standard.
Your services, on the other hand, should be able to deliver exceptional customer service whenever they’re working. Don’t just focus on skills with this. Keep their personalities and work ethic in mind, too.
Keep Quality High
You’ll need to set yourself apart from your competitors from the start, and there are plenty of ways to do this. One of the most important is to make sure quality is as high as possible across the board. This is especially true when it comes to the quality of the food and your customer service.
Put the effort into this from the start. If you notice a dip in quality, figure out why and address it quickly. When your food and customer service are both consistently high, bringing in guests to your restaurant shouldn’t be a problem.
